We are empathic, expert and ethical in our approach and provide quicker, simpler and easier legal services to our clients. Our team is based in our four offices in Huddersfield, Sheffield, London and Tirana.

Arta Heath, Managing Director

Arta is the head of our team and has over 20 years’ experience of all aspects of UK immigration, nationality and human rights law. Her experience includes litigating complex immigration cases, handling judicial reviews in the High Court and representing at the Special Immigration Appeals Commission and Court of Appeal. 

She has been working in this area since she qualified and has helped thousands of clients, including individuals, families and businesses. She began her career working as an interpreter helping Kosovan refuges during the Balkans War in 1999 before becoming an Accredited Immigration caseworker in 2001 through ILPA (immigration Law Practitioners Association) working for various solicitors, then again in 2004 through the Law Society Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme at Supervisor level. 

Arta qualified as a solicitor in 2010 after gaining a degree in Law from BPP University. She started her own law firm, Heath and Power Solicitors, in 2012

Daniel Buna, Personal Assistant to the Managing Director
Daniel Buna

Daniel’s role is to support the Managing Director, including attending client consultations and organising her diary. He also works on a variety of different cases. 

Daniel is completing a Diploma in Conveyancing Law and Practice and training to become a solicitor. He previously headed the European Youth Parliament in Albania and has experience in managing a youth non-profit network. 

He is based at our London Office and is fluent in English and Albanian, as well as intermediate in German. 

Stuart Franklin, Partner
Stuart Franklin

Stuart is a director of MyUKLaw and helped to found the firm with Arta Heath. He has more than 35 years of experience in communications and marketing and has held a number of senior management roles in UK universities.

During his career he has been involved in setting up many new business ventures, both in the UK and internationally. He has a degree in English and Media Studies from the University of Southampton.

Claudia Ionita, Finance Manager

Claudia was born in Romania graduating from university with a BA in Psychology and Pedagogy.

She joined MyUKVisas in May 2018 and she is responsible for the overall financial and accounting activities of MYUKVISAS and works closely with the rest of the team to ensure smooth running of the company, having various roles including Credit control, financial controller, and head of finance. She has knowledge of accounting, financial and business principles within the legal sector.

Charles Knapman, Head of Property / Solicitor

Charles is a Solicitor and deals with a wide range of residential and commercial property transactions. He acts for individuals, partnerships and companies in the sale, purchase, transfer and refinancing of Freehold and Leasehold properties. In addition, he can provide advice in relation to mortgage requirements for personal guarantees and independent legal advice, together with issues pertaining to rights of way and breaches of covenants and other property related matters.

Charles earned his LLB (Hons) from the University of Bangor and achieved his LLM in Law and Legal Practice from the University of Law, Leeds. Having worked at several large law firms around Yorkshire, Charles brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to MyUKLaw. He provides an efficient service which is designed to take the stress of the transaction away from the client. Whether acting for a first-time buyer or a company dealing with their large portfolio, Charles ensures that his clients receive first class legal advice, which is tailored to their needs.

Neelam Mall, Solicitor and Head of Family

Neelam has been a solicitor since 2010 and is an Advanced Member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel. Her areas of expertise include divorce & separation; financial settlements; child arrangement orders; injunctions & emergency applications (incl. asset protection); international family law & child abduction prevention, cohabitation disputes and pre and post-nuptial agreements.

Fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, she has a strong track record supporting diverse families with warmth and clear communication. Neelam understands that every family’s journey is unique. With over 20 years of experience, she provides tailored, empathetic advice and always keeps clients’ best interests front and centre. She offers a bespoke service: listening deeply, clarifying complex legal matters, and guiding clients with clarity and compassion. Her method focuses on achieving amicable resolutions, yet she is fully prepared to advocate strongly in court when necessary.

Outside of the office, Neelam volunteers with charities promoting wellness and wellbeing. Neelam’s commitment is to make the legal processes as clear, cost-effective, and supportive as possible, so that her clients feel secure and empowered during difficult times.

Oliver Thompson, Apprentice Solicitor

Oliver attended the University of Leeds, graduating with a BA Hons in Ancient History and English Literature. He had always wanted to be a solicitor, but it was during his time studying for the Masters of Law conversion course at the University of Law that he became certain it was the right pathway for him.

Following some work experience with MyUKLaw during his studies he decided to begin a career in immigration law. Oliver was accepted onto the legal apprenticeship scheme and began work as a Legal Assistant in September 2022. He is currently working on cases and studying part-time for his SQE (Solicitors Qualification Exam) so that he can become a fully qualified solicitor. He works in our Huddersfield office.

Shona Flood, Solicitor

Shona is a solicitor and consultant with MyUKLaw. She has over 30 years’ experience in litigation and regulatory matters both as an in-house solicitor with a major utility company and in private practice.

Shona deals with all aspects of litigation including contract disputes, debt recovery and landlord and tenant matters. She works in our Huddersfield office.

Gentiana Qendro, Solicitor in Albanian law

Gentiana works from our Tirana office and is our resident expert in Albanian law. She began her working life in the field of pharmacy and later became a lawyer. She has several qualifications in law and pharmacy from the University of Tirana and has lectured extensively in the university sector. She also provides regulatory and pharmacovigilance services for pharmaceutical companies.

Gentiana has around 20 years of experience working as a lawyer and is a licensed mediator and a lawyer at the Bar Association of Albania. She has worked for a number of law firms in Albania before joining MyUKVisas Albania.  In addition to Albanian, she speaks Greek, Italian and English.

Besmir Mujo, Trainee Solicitor

Bes has lived in the UK for over 20 years and has cultivated a diverse career during this time. He graduated from the University of Huddersfield with a BA Hons in Business Management and spent more than 20 years in the catering industry, including owning and operating a restaurant for two years.

In 2021, Bes transitioned to a legal career by joining MyUKLaw. He recently completed his Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Law and has begun the Legal Practice Course there in September 2024 to enable him to qualify as a solicitor. He works in our Huddersfield Office. 

Klodiana Gjonaj, Paralegal

Klodiana was born in Albania where she graduated from the University of Medhetar with a BA in Law and MSc in Public Law. She has worked as a Legal Assistant in EU criminal law and criminal justice systems, civil law and human rights.

She is fluent in Albanian, English and has intermediate level language skills in Spanish. Klodiana works in our Sheffield office.

Ueda Vishnja, Paralegal

Ueda began her educational journey in the UK in 2018, completing an International Foundation Programme at Queen Mary University of London. Ueda then graduated with an LLB in Law from City University in London and subsequently obtained her LPC (Legal Practice Course) qualification from the same institution. 

Since joining MyUKLaw in December 2023, Ueda has focused on asylum appeals where she has achieved significant success. Ueda is now set to begin her training contract, where she will continue to build on her accomplishments to date.

Arilda Elezi, Administrative Assistant

Arilda was born in Albania and lived in Greece for 20 years. She has a wealth of experience in public relations and administration. In her role for MyUKLaw, she draws upon her extensive background in customer relations to manage inquiries, provide accurate information and ensure clients are kept well-informed. 

Arilda’s familiarity with the EU Settlement Scheme bolstered by her status as an EU National, has been particularly valuable in her current position. She is fluent in Albanian, Greek and English which enables her to communicate effectively with a diverse client base.

Dorotea Celaj, Administrative Assistant

Tea manages our Albania office and looks after a number of administrative, HR and marketing processes for MYUKLaw, in addition to supporting travel visa applications. 

She is a graduate of the University of Tirana and has a degree in Business Administration. She is fluent in both English and Albanian.

Abbie-Gayle Higgins, Administrative Assistant

Abbie is a graduate from Sheffield Hallam University where she graduated with a BSc in Psychology and Criminology in 2023.

She has many years experience working in administrative duties as well as hospitality and uses her skills gained in these backgrounds to manage enquiries and provide clients with accurate information, reassurance and support throughout their process of working with us
